| 2011 SEMINAR JUNE 17TH - 19TH |
Each year for more than 50 years, HOBY Los Angeles has hosted the best and brightest high school sophomores from around Los Angeles for its flagship three day leadership seminar. The dynamic, empowering, and "life-changing" (as more than a few Ambassadors have described it) seminar is open to high school sophomores from any public, private, or home school in the Los Angeles County Area. HOBY Ambassadors, our name for the participants in our programs, are selected as representatives from their high schools because they have demonstrated the potential to lead others. HOBY Ambassadors are given the opportunity to interact with, question, and respectfully challenge political, economic, and social leaders from around the county, state and country.
HOBY believes these students represent the future leaders of the world—leaders in business, education, government, or any field they choose. Each school has its own process for nominating students for HOBY, so check with your local high school guidance counselor for details. If your high school is unfamiliar with HOBY, please direct him/her to our website or our Director of Recruitment.
The Los Angeles Hugh O'Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Seminar is an affiliate of Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership, an international non-profit 501(c)3 organization devoted to inspiring and developing our global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation.
